If there is one thing that unites professional athletes across all major sports today, it is the squiggly line that passes for an autograph. Here are on-card autos of three sports icons.

Harmon Killebrew would be disappointed.  For decades after he retired, he preached to Twins players to develop an autograph that people could read. Some players took his advice.  No players in the 1950s needed that advice.  The quality of the autographs on fifties baseball cards is striking.  You can read every signature.  Creating a distinctive and legible signature was prized then.  Take a look at these beauties.
